"We're holding your daughter for ransom..."

I got to miss school today to do my shadow project. I was passed around the IT offices at Essroc. Some of the people there were very nice. Like the three guys who I talked to before lunch. That conversation wasn't really about computers though...actually most of the time I spent with those three were just them asking me random questions and being weird. We had a lengthy conversation in which they named about every popular actor and singer and asked me who I thought was hottest. Is it sick that I'm more comfortable being myself around adults who I don't know at all and are older than me than kids who are my age and I've known for awhile?
"We have your daughter for a ransom of $30 milllion...He says that that is overpriced." They made fun of me afterwords for laughing too hard and being unable to play the victim.
